Dr Sergei Guriev

Dr. Guriev has been appointed Rector of New Economic School in 2004. He was selected a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and was included in the top 100 of the President of Russia’s Cadre Reserve. He is a board member of Sberbank, Russia Venture Company, Alfa Strakhovanie, Russian Home Mortgage Lending Agency, and the Dynasty Foundation. He is a member of the President of Russia’s Council on Science, Technology and Education, of the Advisory Council of the Peterson Institute for International Economics (Washington, DC) and of the Scientific Council of BRUEGEL, a Brussels-based economic policy think tank. He is also a Research Fellow at CEPR (London) and a Co-Editor of the Economics of Transition (London).
